NoteThe First Lady will travel to Ecuador, Panamá, and Costa Rica, from May 18-23, 2022, in advance of the U.S.-hosted Summit of the Americas that will take place in Los Angeles, California, the week of June 6-10, 2022.

Looking Ahead: On May 20-21, The President will travel to Seoul, South Korea; and Tokyo, Japan, from May 22-24.  U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo confirmed on Tuesday that President Biden will formally launch his signature trade initiative with Asia – the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework – when he is in Tokyo next week.
