This morning, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) released the House Majority’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 Budget Resolution. The Ryan budget resolution lays out a plan for reducing the deficit and balancing the budget over ten years (FY 2014-2023). The plan would repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), change the Medicare program, block grant Medicaid and food stamps, and reform other welfare programs. It also would reduce the role of the federal government in areas such as education and infrastructure and open new areas to natural gas development, in addition to providing a rough blueprint for tax reforms.
