Founder & CEO of HelloPrenup
Julia Rodgers is a family law attorney and the visionary founder and CEO of HelloPrenup, the platform democratizing access to prenuptial agreements. Unlike many tech founders, Julia had no coding background, no startup funding, and no Silicon Valley network-just a deep understanding of family law and a mission to make legal protection accessible for everyone.
Early in her career, Julia witnessed couples disrupted by the legal system not due to conflict or malice, but because navigating complex laws and high attorney fees was nearly impossible. She realized that everyday couples lacked affordable, human-centered solutions, and she set out to change that. At 28, newly admitted to the bar, she built HelloPrenup from scratch-acting as founder, lawyer, product developer, and customer service lead-all while raising her daughter as a single mom.
HelloPrenup launched with the principle that protection should be straightforward, affordable, and empowering. Julia became the first legal tech founder to pitch on Shark Tank, securing a deal with Kevin O’Leary and Nirav Tolia, enabling her platform to reach thousands of couples who previously had no practical access to legal tools. Today, HelloPrenup has partnered with over 100 attorneys, helped 100,000+ partners protect their relationships, and saved millions in traditional legal fees-all while maintaining its mission-driven focus.
Julia leads with a philosophy of people over profit. She positions HelloPrenup not as a replacement for attorneys, but as a platform that amplifies their ability to serve clients efficiently and equitably. In 2025, HelloPrenup secured a strategic investment from the LegalTech Fund, giving Julia the resources to scale new products, expand internationally, and continue advocating for access to justice in family law.
Her work bridges law, technology, and social impact, normalizing prenups for everyday couples and showing that legal protection can be both practical and empowering. Julia Rodgers continues to push the boundaries of what legal tech can achieve, proving that innovation in law can be human-centered, accessible, and purpose-driven.
