Estate Planning
Dan starts the estate planning process by discussing each client’s specific estate planning goals. Dan then advises individuals on tax-planning strategies and the preparation of wills, trust agreements and related documents necessary to implement those goals.
Trust & Estate Administration
Dan guides individual and corporate trustees in the administration of trusts and estates matters related to fiduciary duties and powers, proper investment of investments, and interpretation of trust agreements and wills. He helps clients minimize tax consequences to beneficiaries by reviewing assets for taxability and analyzing collection options. Dan reviews federal and state estate tax returns to ensure all assets and elections are completed properly.
Estate Settlement
Dan has managed the estate settlement process for clients with estates valued in excess of $100 million, and his experience includes administration of extremely complex trust and probate accounts. Dan has analyzed estate assets and situations for the application of "Graegin" loans and Internal Revenue Code Section 6166.
