The Visa Bulletin is released monthly by the Department of State and is used to determine when a sponsored foreign national can submit the final step of the green card process, or if already pending, when the final step can be adjudicated.
Below is a summary of the March Visa Bulletin, including Final Action Dates and changes from the previous month.
India: Only EB-1 progresses – 1 month, to October 1, 2020. EB-2 stalls at March 1, 2012; EB-3 and EB-3 Other Workers, at July 1, 2012.
China: Only EB-1 advances – 2 weeks, to July 15, 2022. EB-2 freezes at January 1, 2020; EB-3 at September 1, 2020; and EB-3 Other Workers at January 1, 2017.
All Other Countries: EB-1 remains current. All other categories inch forward 1 week: EB-2, to November 22, 2022; EB-3, to September 8, 2022; EB-3 Other Workers, to September 8, 2020 (except the Philippines, which holds at May 1, 2020).
NOTE 1: USCIS will accept I-485 applications in March based on Final Action Dates, not the more favorable Dates for Filing chart.
