Alex is a litigator who focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage and business disputes. Alex represents policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes involving claims under various types of insurance policies, including D&O, general liability, and commercial property. He also counsels clients in connection with professional liability matters, such as insurance broker malpractice.
Before joining Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, Alex worked as an associate in the New York office of an international law firm where he focused on insurance and complex commercial matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery and in federal and state courts nationwide. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
While in law school, Alex served as an intern to the Honorable Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell of the US District Court for the District of Columbia. He also served as a legal intern in the US Department of Justice, Civil Division, Federal Programs Branch, as well as in the US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Civil Enforcement, Cross-Cutting Policy Office.
Before law school, Alex worked at a DC-based government relations and strategic communications firm where he focused on energy and environmental matters. He also has an extensive background in policy debate and was a two-time finalist at the National Debate Tournament while at the University of Michigan.
