Thomas Hutchison is an associate in the litigation department at Foley & Lardner LLP. He is based in the Milwaukee office where he is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Before joining Foley, Thomas was a legal research assistant at the University of Iowa College of Law, where he analyzed topics of labor and employment law, contributing to the publication of a treatise focused on issues affecting low-wage workers. Thomas also worked as a summer extern to Judge Andrea R. Wood of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where he drafted opinions and wrote memoranda discussing various legal issues appearing in federal court.
As a law student, Tom served as the Editor-in-Chief for The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice. In this role, he aided in the selection, revision, and publication of articles discussing identity issues. He began his career at Foley as a summer associate, handling various litigation and pro bono motions and memoranda.
