Rebecca Halbach is an associate in the firm's Brussels office. She is a member of the Antitrust, Competition, and Trade Regulation practice group and assists the Public Policy and Law practice group.
Rebecca focuses on EU trade and regulatory law with a strong commitment to providing clients with the necessary awareness on policy developments, notably forthcoming EU legislation, which may affect their business. She provides legal and policy advice on EU trade law, EU restrictive measures, and EU regulatory law, with a particular focus on sustainability. Rebecca also supports clients engaged in cross-jurisdictional transactions on questions related to foreign direct investment (FDI).
Rebecca has experience in advising clients in a wide range of sectors, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, batteries, textiles, energy (including hydrogen), banking, and transport. While focusing on providing compliance advice regarding EU trade and market access legislation, including evaluating internal compliance programmes, Rebecca also has experience in assisting clients in the written stage of proceedings before the General Court of the EU as part of a larger team, which she helped to coordinate.
