Victoria Pereira is an associate in the firm's Chicago office. She is a member of the Antitrust, Competition, and Trade Regulation practice group. She focuses her practice on complex civil and criminal litigation, government enforcement, domestic and international internal investigations, corporate criminal defense, and antitrust counseling. Victoria has experience representing clients in federal and state courts, mostly in matters involving the Department of Justice and federal antitrust class actions, against allegations of price-fixing, customer allocation, bid-rigging, unfair competition and other restraints of trade. She also has experience conducting internal investigations for domestic and international corporations across a variety of industries. Her cases often involve defending corporations and individuals who are subjects of federal and state grand jury subpoenas and enforcement proceedings. She has also represented U.S. and international companies in antitrust class actions and multidistrict litigation.
Victoria’s practice also includes counseling clients on antitrust compliance to help companies mitigate antitrust risks. She has represented corporations in the establishment and maintenance of antitrust compliance and audit programs. She also advises clients on a variety of antitrust and competition issues, including competitor collaborations, information exchanges, bidding accounts, and entering into joint ventures.
The K&L Gates Antitrust and Competition group has been recognized by Chambers USA for Antitrust in Illinois (2020-2022), by U.S. News-Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” First-Tier Antitrust Law (2017-2022), and as the “Cartel & Trade Regulation Law Firm of the Year in Illinois” by the international review and assessment programs of both Corporate INTL Magazine and Global Law Experts (2016).
Victoria’s pro bono experience includes representing sex-trafficking survivors seeking expungement of criminal records, veterans seeking adjustment to their benefits, and researching anti-stalking law and policy to aid a nonprofit’s advocacy for anti-stalking legislation in a number of different countries.
