Rachael counsels clients on regulatory compliance matters impacting the financial services industry.
Rachael advises both established and emerging clients on compliance with federal, state, and agency requirements governing the practices of financial institutions, traditional financial service providers (mortgage lenders, auto lenders, consumer finance companies, student lenders, credit card issuers, loan servicers), and companies providing consumer financial services in addition to core business activities (retailers, data aggregators, insurance companies, peer-to-peer lenders, financial technology companies, document preparation companies, and technology vendors).
Rachael also advises investment banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, and secondary market participants in connection with investments or acquisitions related to financial products and services across a variety of industries, including consumer and commercial finance, payment system providers, retail, restaurants, security alarm, solar, and technology.

Rachael’s current and past experience includes:
- Counseling clients through all phases of operation, including product development and formation, licensing and registration, marketing, and the implementation of business practices that comply with federal and state credit, banking, payment, and consumer protection laws and regulations.
- Advising clients on various regulatory issues related to the origination, purchasing, servicing, and sale of residential and commercial mortgage loans, student loans, consumer loans, credit cards, lease agreements, retail installment contracts, and other financial products.
- Preparing agreements, terms, and disclosures for banking, mortgage, student loan, auto loan, consumer loan, credit card, rewards and incentives programs, and other financial service products.
- Assisting clients with obtaining and maintaining state lending and servicing licenses required to conduct consumer and commercial lending, loan servicing, and to purchase and hold MSRs.
