Phillip’s practice is focused on labor and employment litigation. He represents employers in matters related to harassment, discrimination, retaliation, leave and accommodations, and wage-and-hour violations. Additionally, he advises employers on restrictive covenant issues including covenants not to compete, non-solicitation agreements, and trade secret litigation. Phillip found a passion for employment law while obtaining his undergraduate degree in Human Resource Management and leverages his experience to help employers make the workplace a better place.
Phillip received his JD from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. In law school, Phillip was awarded the Ogletree Deakins Fellowship for high academic achievement in Labor & Employment Law and elected President of the Labor & Employment Law Society. Additionally, he competed in the 2019 Sherman Mitton Moot Court Competition. For nearly a decade, prior to attending law school, Phillip was a professional esports coach in the Halo videogame series where he coached internationally ranked teams in multi-million dollar tournament series. Phillip has been published in the Esports Bar Association Journal on issues related to Labor & Employment Law making him uniquely qualified to assist clients in the esports industry.
