Kyle Montour focuses his practice on American Indian law related to advising clients on governmental, transactional, and business matters, including tribal code drafting, entity formation, business operations, mergers, acquisitions, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, and other general corporate matters. He also counsels tribes on economic development and regulatory matters related to the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development program, federal contracting, and hemp program development under federal hemp laws and regulations.
Kyle also has experience counseling health care providers on transactional and regulatory matters such as drafting services and employment agreements, HIPAA compliance, and on federal fraud and abuse laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law.
Kyle is an enrolled member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, and is a descendant of the Mohawks of Kahnawà:ke. Kyle also serves as an Associate Judge on the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Court of Appeals.
