Jesse Broad-Cavanagh first joined Katz Banks Kumin after his first year of law school in September 2022 returned to the firm in September 2024.
Mr. Broad-Cavanagh received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in May 2024. While in law school, Mr. Broad-Cavanagh worked for two semesters as a law clerk at Katz Banks Kumin. In this role, Mr. Broad-Cavanagh supported the firm across numerous employment discrimination and retaliation matters. His work includes race and sex discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, and qui-tam claims.
At Northeastern, Mr. Broad-Cavanagh competed in the Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition, served in senior positions at the Northeastern Employment and Labor Law Association and the Northeastern Law Review, and served as a Teaching Assistant for first-year legal writing and research classes. In spring 2024, Mr. Broad-Cavanagh worked as a law clerk at Government Accountability Project. There, Mr. Broad-Cavanagh supported representation of whistleblowers disclosing abuses and mismanagement in the United States’ immigration sector.
Mr. Broad-Cavanagh is a product of DC metro area public schools, and he holds an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University.
