Eryn Brasovan takes a strategic approach to legal representation, carefully considering her client’s business goals in the context of applicable regulatory frameworks and industry trends. She has extensive experience encompassing a variety of transactional and regulatory matters related to the financial services and insurance industries, including consumer and commercial lending, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and risk management, and litigation and dispute resolution.
Prior to joining the firm, Eryn was General Counsel for one of North America’s largest insurance premium finance lenders (by amount financed) for nearly 15 years. In that role, she developed the skills to break down complex legal concepts into action items for her business partners. She also interacted directly with federal and state regulators, including the Office of the Comptroller of Currency, Department of Treasury, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and state banking and insurance examiners and licensing agencies.
Eryn has served for over a decade as the member-elected President of the National Premium Finance Association, a not-for-profit corporation that serves as the national trade association for property and casualty insurance premium finance lenders. The insurance premium finance product touches upon a host of participants. Through a team of lawyers, the firm advises a full range of participants operating in the insurance premium finance space, including premium finance companies and agencies, insureds and borrowers, agents and brokers, insurance markets, fintech and insurtech companies, lenders and other capital sources for premium finance companies, and premium finance software providers. The firm advises clients on regulation and compliance, legislative and regulatory monitoring, operations, obtaining and renewing sources of capital, mergers and acquisitions and related due diligence, collateral enhancement, support and protection, fraud detection and related policies, and collection and enforcement of loans both in and out of court and in bankruptcy proceedings.
