Professional Biography

Elena Rodriguez Anderson joined Katz Banks Kumin in January 2025.

Before joining the firm, she worked as a Staff Attorney at A Better Balance, advocating for paid leave policies at the state, local, and national level, with a focus on paid sick leave and paid family medical leave. Prior to her role with A Better Balance, she served as a Staff Attorney at Mobilization for Justice in the housing unit, providing eviction defense to tenants in the Bronx.

Ms. Rodriguez Anderson received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2021. While at NYU, she was a board member of the Latinx Law Students Association and If/When/How. She was also a student advocate in the Family Defense Clinic, where she represented parents in Brooklyn Family Court, and the Civil Rights Clinic, where she supported litigation in the ACLU Voting Rights Project. While in law school, Ms. Rodriguez Anderson interned at the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project and at Neufeld Scheck and Brustin. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University, where she graduated with distinction. She is originally from New York City.

Ms. Rodriguez Anderson is a member of the New York bar.
