Annabelle Rau's main focus is on corporate law, banking and financial services law and European financial supervisory law. Her consulting practice ranges from questions related to the regulation of traditional financial services to new FinTech business models, including crypto regulation. In addition, Ms. Rau advises listed companies at their annual general meetings, on ongoing capital market obligations and regulatory requirements.
Before joining McDermott, Ms. Rau worked for two international law firms in the field of corporate law in Germany and New York and, as a visiting scholar at Columbia University, did research for her comparative work on German and US capital markets law.
