/>iAs regular readers of our blog are well-aware, on July 21, 2014, President Obama signed an Executive Order banning workplace discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (“LGBT”) workers of federal contractors. OFCCP regulations implementing the Executive Order will go into effect on April 8, 2015.
OFCCP has taken several steps to help government contractors come into compliance with the new regulations. In response to inquiries from government contractors, it created a non-exhaustive directory of organizations and other entities that offer resources and guidance concerning issues related to creating an inclusive workplace for LGBT employees.
In addition, the OFCCP has just announced a webinar for government contractors on the new LGBT regulations. The webinar will take place on March 18, 2015 from 2:00-3:30 EDT. Information about the webinar and how to register is available here.
