New York’s Expanded Whistleblower Protections Now in Effect

Legislation amending and significantly expanding the scope of New York State’s whistleblower law is now in effect. New York employers should review any whistleblower policies and complaint procedures for compliance, train managers on the changes, and address new notice posting requirements. Read more.

DOJ’s Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative

As part of the national response strategy to thwart ransomware attacks, the Department of Justice has announced plans to leverage its broad enforcement authority under the False Claims Act to pursue cybersecurity-related fraud involving government contracts and federal grantees.
