Employers in various industries rely on attorney Tryphena Liu (“Tri-FEE-nuh LEE-yoo”) to help represent them in labor and employment matters, including employment litigation involving PAGA claims and allegations of discrimination, wrongful termination, and sexual harassment.
She also assists employers with internal investigations of employee complaints and represents employers during government audits. Additionally, Tryphena advises clients, and presents seminars, in both English and Mandarin, on wage and hour issues, compliance with COVID-19 regulations, corporate compliance, and employment contracts.
Tryphena has performed pro bono work at the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles’ Sojourn Legal Clinic, representing victims of domestic violence.
During law school, Tryphena served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Judge Roy L. Paul of the Los Angeles Superior Court and as Senior Staff Research Editor of the UC Irvine Law Review. Before becoming a law student, Tryphena interned in the office of U.S. Representative Judy Chu of California.
