Rhett Johnson worked for US Senators Richard Burr and Thom Tillis as well as for US Representative Richard Hudson (all representing North Carolina) before joining Jones Walker in 2019.
As a government relations manager, Rhett’s primary focus is tracking and identifying federal grant funding opportunities for clients. Rhett also provides a wide variety of logistical and research support for the Government Relations Practice Group in Washington, DC, including managing the firm’s Political Action Committee budget and conducting outreach to Capitol Hill offices and other federal agencies.
