She has a deep understanding of the federal, state, and local laws facing developers in California, including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. In addition to due diligence, compliance, and strategic counsel, Nicole also has experience with litigation arising under CEQA and other environmental statutes.
Before joining Allen Matkins, Nicole served as senior staff counsel with the California State Coastal Conservancy. Previously, she worked at Stice & Block LLP, where she advised clients on transformative development projects on contaminated sites throughout the Bay Area.
During law school, Nicole clerked with U.S. Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division and with Stanford University’s Environmental Law Clinic.
