Nathan is Senior Counsel for Privacy at Azira, LLC. He developed an interest in privacy law beginning in 2017, while advising AllianceBernstein on how to comply with the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act of 2010. FATCA put an end to certain abuses formerly associated with offshore investment accounts held by wealthy Americans. Because it involved the compulsory reporting of personal information by European banks, FATCA introduced Nathan to the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation early on. The rest is history.

For ten years Nathan served on the Board of Trustees of the Bronx Museum of the Arts, including as treasurer. Located in the poorest congressional district in the nation, the BxMA is a wonderful, world-class institution, just a few short blocks from Yankee Stadium.
