Melissa L. Evans is Of Counsel in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She joined the firm as an Associate in July 2011.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis P.C., Ms. Evans was an Associate with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel, LLP, where she concentrated in the field of labor and employment litigation, including specifically individual and class/collective action discrimination and wage and hour claims. Because the majority of her work at her prior firm involved representation of plaintiffs, Ms. Evans brings to Jackson Lewis a unique and valuable perspective in the practice of employment law on behalf of employers.
Ms. Evans’ practice is currently focused exclusively on representing employers in employment-related litigation before administrative agencies and courts on the state and federal levels, as well as client counseling on issues of compliance and litigation avoidance. As part of her extensive commercial litigation experience, Ms. Evans has developed considerable expertise in the area of electronic discovery, which makes her uniquely qualified to develop effective and efficient approaches to case management.
