Professional Biography

Travis Malesky focuses his practice on energy regulatory law. Travis assists clients in a variety of federal regulatory matters related to the natural gas and electric utility industries, including rate matters under the Natural Gas Act, pipeline certificate and abandonment proceedings, and authorizations under section 203 of the Federal Power Act. He also assists clients with litigation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and administrative hearings at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  

During law school, Travis interned with Spire Inc., a natural gas utility and midstream company. During his tenure, he worked on an interstate pipeline’s FERC Certificate on remand from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. He also assisted with the appellate litigation matter, EDF v. FERC, as well as advising the company on issues arising from the Natural Gas Certificate Policy Statement.

Travis' community involvement included volunteering for Mount Nebo and collaborating with Lonestar Legal Aid and Houston Legal Aid Center.
