Meg Barankin

Professional Biography

As an associate in our Portland, Oregon office, Meg represents employers ranging from small businesses to global corporations in employment litigation matters. She is passionate about her work and dedicated to providing exceptional support to all of her clients.

Meg joined Ogletree Deakins after completing a three-year judicial clerkship for Appellate Commissioner Theresa M. Kidd at the Oregon Court of Appeals, where she gained expertise in motions practice and litigation procedure through her work on hundreds of cases across myriad practice areas, including employment law. Prior to her clerkship, Meg graduated summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School, where she served as Executive Editor of the Lewis & Clark Law Review. During law school, Meg worked at both public and private sector organizations, working on complex employment compliance and litigation matters.

Before practicing law, Meg worked as a marketing copywriter, developing business-to-business (B2B) marketing materials for global leaders in the technology industry.
