Marcus McCray represents and counsels employers on all matters impacting their employees under both federal and state labor and employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Additionally, Marcus represents and counsels educational institutions, both K-12 and Higher Education, on matters impacting their employees and students under Title IX of the Civil Rights Act.
Marcus also helps clients to minimize liability exposure by advising them on the best employment practices and policies for compliance with the ever-changing legal landscape. For example, Marcus provides counsel regarding employee separation, the accommodation of disabilities, the drafting, implementation, and interpretation of employment agreements and employment policies.
Marcus received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he served as a Dean’s Fellow, served on the Black Law Students Association Executive Board, participated in and coached Mock Trial, and was a member of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
