Lael Franco is an associate and a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice. She focuses her practice on private funds and has experience drafting and reviewing private equity fund documentation, including limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, investor side letters, and registration and exemption from registration of fund share offerings. Lael has a background in intellectual property and uses her experience to help first-time and emerging fund sponsors navigate fund launching and marketing.
Lael also represents registered investment companies and their advisers on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. She has experience drafting and reviewing registration statements, shareholder reports, and other regulatory and legal documentation related to the development and launch of new funds, fund mergers and reorganizations, and ongoing operations of registered funds of investment companies.
