Justin M. Woodard is an associate in the firm’s Business & Commercial Litigation Group and a member of the Corporate Compliance & White Collar Defense Team. He works on a diverse range of disputes, including complex commercial litigation, criminal prosecutions, government investigations, and appeals.
Immediately before joining Jones Walker, Mr. Woodard served as a law clerk to Judge Edith Brown Clement on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans. Prior to his clerkship, Mr. Woodard practiced for several years in the Washington, D.C. office of a top international law firm, focusing on commercial litigation and government antitrust investigations. As a mid-level associate, Mr. Woodard wrote pleadings, worked with fact and expert witnesses, took and defended depositions, coordinated major e-discovery projects, and communicated regularly with clients. In particular, Mr. Woodard represented Fortune® 500 companies seeking approval of multi-billion dollar proposed mergers under antitrust review by the U.S. Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission.
