Julia Carbonetti specializes in the defense of claims arising from general liability litigation, insurance coverage litigation, medical malpractice, complex tort and product liability. Julia is involved in all aspects of litigation, from inception through resolution by settlement, dispositive motions, mediations and/or arbitrations, and support of partners at trial.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Julia was an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Baltimore, Maryland, where she focused on product liability, complex tort and business disputes. She also handled breach of warranty and negligence cases against corporate clients in the automotive manufacturing industry. In representing her corporate clients, Julia took depositions of plaintiffs and experts, argued dispositive motions and conducted direct examination of clients at hearings.
Julia served as law clerk to the Honorable Joseph M. Getty, Court of Appeals of Maryland, and as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Fred S. Hecker, Circuit Court for Carroll County, Maryland.
