Jodi Jensen is an administrative and regulatory attorney and a member of the firm’s Political Law Practice Group. Each day, Jodi helps clients navigate and comply with campaign finance, ethics and lobbying laws. She also guides clients through the administrative rulemaking process, advises bidders seeking government contracts during the procurement process, provides associations and businesses with research and analysis related to a variety of public policy issues and represents clients in administrative and regulatory matters before state agencies, boards and commissions.
Jodi has extensive experience in state government and a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process and administrative procedures in Wisconsin. She previously served as chief of staff to the Wisconsin State Assembly majority leader and speaker, as staff to the Legislature’s budget-writing Joint Finance Committee, as an executive staff member at the Wisconsin Department of Administration and as legal counsel to the governor of Wisconsin. With this extensive background in state government and on campaigns, Jodi has direct experience with the sensitive and complex nature of legal work in this area. She draws on this unique perspective when developing comprehensive strategies and solutions for her clients.
Jodi has also served as government affairs counsel for several businesses and trade associations and, knows first-hand how to provide value as an attorney to organizations that lobby the legislative and executive branches, that are subject to government regulation or that are or are seeking to become government contractors.
