Jessica focuses her practice on intellectual property matters in the fashion, fitness and entertainment industries.
Jessica advises major retail and footwear clients, including the largest retailer in the United States, on clearance matters related to copyright, trademark, trade dress and design patent issues. Jessica regularly counsels clients on managing intellectual property portfolios and protecting and enforcing those rights around the world with anti-counterfeiting strategies. She routinely advises both brands and a number of social media influencers on protecting their rights and avoiding liability with advertising content and conduct on social media.
In addition to securing, protecting and clearing clients’ intellectual property rights, Jessica represents clients in inter partes proceedings and federal court in litigation matters related to copyright, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), trademark, trade dress and false advertising, unfair competition, trade secrets, data scraping, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) and domain name disputes under ICANN’s Uniform Dispute Resolution Procedure (UDRP).
Early in her career, Jessica worked as an intellectual property manager at SoulCycle Holdings, LLC where she helped to manage trademark litigation and prosecution matters. During law school, Jessica worked as a student attorney for the Cardozo Indie Film Clinic representing independent film companies and small film festivals.
