Jessica Kang is experienced in management-side employment law issues, including litigation, transactional, and advice and counsel matters. Jessica has represented clients of all sizes in various industries from conception through resolution of complex and heavily litigated cases, whether it is an informal settlement, mediation, or an arbitration trial. She represents employers in state, federal, and administrative courts and before the California Labor Commissioner, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Department of Labor Enforcement Standards, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In addition to her litigation practice, Jessica provides practical and business-driven advice and counsel to local, national, and international clients regarding all aspects of the employment relationship. Jessica has extensive experience advising clients on drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, hiring, firing, issuing discipline, conducting investigations, and reductions in force. Jessica’s advice and counsel practice includes trainings on wage and hour law, how to conduct investigations, and harassment, discrimination, and retaliation prevention. In addition, Jessica has drafted numerous employment documents, including handbooks, stand-alone policies, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, separation agreements, and more.
