James Treanor focuses his practice on white collar crime, with an emphasis on complex civil and criminal matters and regulatory issues, including those arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and U.S. economic sanctions and export control regulations. In addition, James assists corporations in conducting internal investigations and compliance program reviews.
James received his J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the publication International Law in Domestic Courts. He earned an M.A. in Russian and East European Studies from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
