Prior Experience
Evan was previously a summer associate for the firm, supporting the corporate practice group. He assisted with regulatory enforcement investigations and reviewed related advisory and disclosure agreements for blind spots that may impact clients’ compliance status. He also ensured contracts and transactional documents related to corporate mergers and acquisitions laddered up to clients’ strategic goals.
Before joining the firm, Evan was a legal assistant for a global investment and advisory financial services firm in Chicago. During his time there, he advised the firm on applicable regulatory developments, compliance matters related to the Investment Company Act, and a variety of corporate governance matters. Of note on the transactional side, Evan assisted with due diligence requests and prepared various closing documents, including disclosure schedules, for a billion-dollar divestiture.
While in law school, Evan served as a student clinician at the Loyola Business Law Clinic, representing small business owners and nonprofit organizations. Evan transitioned into law following several congressional and campaign internships.
