Driven to get to the root of the issues her clients are facing and help them achieve an efficient, favorable resolution, Erin Steele focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, white collar, and government investigations.
Erin advises and represents clients in complex matters and disputes involving compliance with government regulations, including performing legal research and drafting memoranda. She also reviews and analyzes documents and issues regarding potential liability in connection to civil litigation, government agency audits and class actions.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Erin was an associate at an international law firm, where she worked on memoranda and motions involving a range of civil and employment-related disputes.
She also gained experience as an intern with the U.S. Department of Labor in the Office of the Solicitor and as a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration in the Office of the Chief Counsel.
Active in her pro bono practice, Erin has represented clients in matters of child education and custody cases. She also has experience representing indigent victims of domestic violence in civil protection order suits.
