Ephraim Hintz is an associate attorney in the Technology Transactions and Data Privacy practice group. Ephraim’s practice is made up of three (3) subset areas: incident response, technology transactions, and data privacy compliance. Ephraim routinely advises his clients on how to effectively investigate and respond to data security incidents. Ephraim is a skilled drafter and assists his clients with negotiating and drafting SaaS licensing agreements, cloud computing agreements, maintenance and online service terms, and data processing addendums. Ephraim’s knowledge and experience with domestic and international data privacy laws allows him to efficiently advise his clients on various corporate data privacy issues.
Specifically, Ephraim has extensive experience with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Rights Privacy Act (CRPA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA), and all fifty (50) states' data breach notification laws.
Ephraim is a Certified Information Privacy Profession for the United States (CIPP/US). Before joining Polsinelli, Ephraim was a litigator at a national law firm, where he counseled clients on a wide range of legal issues including: real property disputes, corporate breach of contract disputes, and Mining Safety Health Administration (“MSHA”) 105(c) complaints.
