Elizabette “Liz” Privat is an associate in the Governmental Practice Group in the firm’s New York office. She also works closely with the New York Office’s Business Trial Practice Group as both practice groups often work interchangeably.
Areas of Practice
As a member of both the White Collar defense and Securities Enforcement teams, Liz has experience in securities regulation and compliance as well as internal investigations and white collar defense. Liz is also a member of the False Claims Act team, Health Care Audit team, and Supply Chains team within the Governmental Practice Group.
Liz also has substantive experience in construction related claims through her work with the firm’s Construction team. She has been involved in numerous matters involving breach of contract issues and mechanic’s liens.
Liz is actively involved in pro bono work at the firm, including post-conviction advocacy and prisoner rights. Prior to attending law school, Liz spent much of her undergraduate career as a prisoner right’s advocate and maintains the same passion for criminal justice reform today.
