David Coats is an associate in the Environmental, Safety & Health Practice, with litigation experience and a focus on consumer finance and consumer protection law.

Prior to joining the firm, David represented the people of Colorado as a deputy district attorney for the City of Denver, where he was the first chair prosecutor on trials ranging from DUIs to aggravated robberies to attempted homicides. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stephanie E. Dunn at the Colorado Court of Appeals and as an assistant attorney general in the Colorado Attorney General’s Office’s consumer protection and special prosecutions units.
