Andrew C. Raby represents and advises alternative investment managers. His clients include sponsors of hedge funds, commodity pools, funds of hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds and various related vehicles and managed account structures. Andrew has advised clients as to the various structures and strategies with respect to the formation of funds and their management companies; fund terms and provisions; offering documents and marketing materials; SEC and CFTC registration, regulatory, and compliance issues; and investment advisory agreements. He advises on the Investment Advisers Act, the Investment Company Act, the Commodity Exchange Act, Regulation D and the Dodd-Frank Act. Andrew also represents institutional investors – including pension plans, endowments, foundations, and others – with respect to their alternative investments. He is a member of the nationally ranked Investment Management Practice Group.
