Andrea Suter represents entities and individuals in a broad range of industries, including energy, hospitality, real estate development, financial services, manufacturing, and software development, among others.
Andrea enjoys advising clients that are startups, family-owned, and early stage, as well as established companies. She regularly gives advice to clients on growing and realizing value through strategic mergers and acquisitions; efficiently raising capital through private placements, venture round financing and traditional lending; protecting interests through entity formation, governance, and management; and negotiating commercial agreements, among other issues.
Prior to joining Pierce Atwood and settling in Maine following her husband’s retirement from his 28-year career with the U.S. Coast Guard, which took her family from coast to coast, Andrea practiced at Farella Braun + Martel (twice) in San Francisco, California and Hodgson Russ in Buffalo, New York, where she gained extensive experience with clients in a wide range of industries, including a startup pajama designer, national hotelier, winery, solar developer, and financial institutions.
