Allison Gluvna Folk is Of Counsel in the Cleveland, Ohio, and Miami, Florida offices of Jackson Lewis, P.C. She is licensed in Ohio and Florida and has over 15 years of experience litigating employment matters in state and federal courts.
Ms. Folk focuses her practice on representing management in employment lawsuits and charges of discrimination before federal and state agencies. She regularly defends employers against claims involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations. In addition, Ms. Folk has significant experience in matters involving trade secrets and restrictive covenants, including non-compete and non-solicitation restrictions. She also handles matters involving complex litigation, including class and collective actions and appeals.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Folk advises, counsels, and trains management and human resources professionals regarding preventive employment policies and procedures, litigation avoidance, leave management, legal developments, and best employment practices. She also has experience negotiating executive employment agreements and preparing and updating employee handbooks for compliance with state and federal law.
