Alessio Persiani is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato, based in its Rome office. He focuses his practice on advising medium and large companies, both Italian and non-Italian resident, on a wide range of tax matters, covering corporate income tax, VAT and other indirect and municipal taxes.
He advises corporate clients in their ordinary and extraordinary activity, providing assistance in tax litigation as well as in extra-judicial matters.
He is member of several international research groups focused on tax implications of the national implementation of EU law in the field of taxation. Recently Alessio has focuses on corporate income tax matters and on the analysis of tax implications of State aid.
He often lectures on particular aspects of International and EU taxation system at University and post-graduate courses.
He has also authored several publications on major tax periodicals and Italian economic and financial newspapers.
