Alana Mildner represents employers in all phases of employment litigation, including motion practice, mediation and settlement negotiations, and court proceedings. She has particular experience with matters brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), New York State Human Rights Law and New York City Human Rights Law. Alana also counsels and works proactively with clients to create a culture that reduces legal exposure and avoids specific situations that can give rise to claims.
Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Alana served as Assistant Corporation Counsel, New York City Law Department, Labor & Employment Law Division, where she represented and counseled city agencies in matters stemming from New York’s role as an employer.
Alana also engaged in legal internships, externships or clinics with the United States Social Security Administration, the Pace Women’s Justice Center, the NYU Family Defense Clinic and the NYC Law Department Affirmative Litigation Division.
