On Oct. 12, 2023, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced a new Enterprise Change of Address (E-COA) self-service tool to allow customers with pending applications, petitions, or requests to update their address with USCIS more easily.
With E-COA, individuals with an existing USCIS Online Account can update their mailing and residential addresses with USCIS for all pending petitions, applications, or requests. The new E-COA tool will replace the Form AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card, and aims to streamline the change of address process for foreign nationals. Additionally, E-COA should eliminate the need for individuals to contact USCIS by phone or by visiting an office regarding address changes, as E-COA will automate address changes for and across almost all form types.
The new E-COA tool is expected to improve the speed and efficiency of the address change process. Individuals simply provide their last name, date of birth, and new physical and mailing addresses into the E-COA tool within their USCIS Online Account and USCIS receives the updated address.
