As an update to our post on Jan. 31, 2020, “U.S. Supreme Court Lifts Temporary Injunctions on Public Charge Rule,” the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to end the injunction on the Trump administration’s public charge rule in the state of Illinois, thereby allowing the Trump administration to enforce its public charge rule in all 50 states. USCIS will start enforcing the new public charge rule in all states on Feb. 24, 2020.
