Following up on agreements the NLRB has entered into with the embassies of Mexico, the Philippines and Ecuador, the NLRB entered into an agreement with the Republic of Columbia on June 11, 2015, in which they will seek to educate Columbian workers, employers and business owners within the United States on their respective rights and obligations under the NLRA. The goal is to reach Columbians nationwide and to develop training and opportunities to share information. Notably, the agreement also provides for setting up avenues for Columbian Consulates to “refer” potential NLRA violations directly to the NLRB on behalf of Columbian citizens.
