The Department of State issued additional guidance for national interest exceptions for nonimmigrant visas, including H-1Bs, H-2Bs, J-1s, L-1s and dependents. H-1B and L-1 applicants traveling to resume ongoing employment in the U.S. in the same position with the same employer or to provide employment as a technical specialist, expert, senior level manager or a worker that facilitates the immediate and continued recovery in the U.S. or to provide a critical infrastructure need may qualify for exceptions.
