Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto

Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto (KKC) is a whistleblower rights law firm located in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1988 by Stephen M. Kohn, Michael D. Kohn, and David K. Colapinto, the firm has won numerous landmark decisions and some of the largest whistleblower rewards in history. The firm specializes in anti-corruption and whistleblower reward law, including False Claims Act/qui tam actions, securities and commodities fraud whistleblowers, IRS/tax fraud whistleblowers, , international whistleblowers, Medicare fraud whistleblowers, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act whistleblowers. KKC has represented overseas clients who exposed massive tax evasion and money laundering schemes, including winning the largest-ever individual whistleblower award ($104 million) for UBS whistleblower Bradley Birkenfeld.   KKC has helped whistleblowers pro bono since its partners created the National Whistleblower Center in 1988.   They worked with Congress to draft key whistleblower protections and reward provisions in the Dodd-Frank Act, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act, and the IRS Tax Whistleblower Law.  They were the leading contributors to the 2011 Dodd-Frank Act SEC whistleblower rulemaking, and the 2018-20 SEC rulemaking.
