Tyler frequently writes and speaks on food litigation topics and is a leader of the firm’s food law team.

Tyler partners with companies to defend against complex class actions, particularly consumer fraud class actions. He has defended class actions involving food and beverage products, dental products, credit cards, and toll roads. His clients have won motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, defeated class certification, and negotiated favorable class and individual settlements. Tyler has been recognized by Minnesota Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Class Action and Mass Torts every year since 2017.

Tyler has a robust and longstanding pro bono practice. Tyler has led teams that have obtained asylum for numerous refugees, helped parents regain custody of their children, and won disability benefits for military service members. He also leads a team of lawyers representing a death-row inmate in challenging his sentence.
Personal Interests
Tyler spends his spare time visiting zoos and museums with his wife and two children. A native Minnesotan, Tyler enjoys camping, canoeing and being outdoors.
