Environmental Essentials Webinar - EPA’s Proposed Repeal of the Carbon Pollution Standards for Power Plants: Implications for the Rest of Industry

On June 17, EPA issued a proposed finding that CO2 emissions from fossil fuel power plants do not “significantly contribute to air pollution which may reasonably anticipated to endanger public health or welfare.” Based on this finding, EPA has proposed to revoke all CO2 regulations for coal-, gas- and oil-fired power plants.
